Gatehouse Upgrade of CCTV – Expansion/Integration of existing systems

Taking advantage of the recent good weather, the management of the Fairview Industrial Estate working with support from the London Riverside BID commissioned Comfort Zone to undertake the final phase in the upgrade of the Estate CCTV surveillance system.

This has included the upgrade on a number of Estate CCTV cameras with new transmission systems and new high definition cameras installed around the Gate House, and various other CCTV locations around the estate, thus  allowing detailed monitoring of traffic leaving and entering the site further enhancing the security on the Estate.

Defibrillator installed and operational at Security Gatehouse

Thanks to the British Heart Foundation and the London Riverside BID Ltd  for their 50% grant funding towards a community defibrillator
Together We Can Save Lives

29 August 2018

The BID has successfully secured grant funding towards a defibrillator which is now installed at the Security Gatehouse on the Fairview Industrial Park, with thanks to the British Heart Foundation.

After calling 999 and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using a defibrillator is the best way to increase the chances of someone surviving a cardiac arrest and every business should have at least one person on site with training.

If your premises have a defibrillator on site that your fellow BID Members could also use in an emergency, during working hours, please let us know and we will distribute the information to BID Members only so that we have a comprehensive list of all available kits in the BID area.

At least one member of your team should know emergency first aid and use of a defibrillator and we’re pleased to confirm that we’ve negotiated some superb group rates for you for both Emergency First Aid Training (1 day course) and First Aid at Work Training (3 days), which include CPR and use of a defibrillator.  These are usually held bi-monthly and future dates are published here and in our newsletter.

Please call the BID team on 01708 550279 to register your interest for the next 1 day 1st Aid Course, or to enquire about training for fully qualified First Aiders.

In the event of a cardiac arrest at your business premises, you should:

Call 999 immediately while someone carries out CPR and another person gets the nearest public defibrillator.

If the nearest is the BID defibrillator at Fairview Industrial Park Gatehouse, call the Security Projects guard on 07528 968073 for the defibrillator code to unlock the combination lock and access this defibrillator.

If you have a defibrillator on site that your fellow BID Members could also use in an emergency, during working hours, please let us know and we will distribute the information so that we have a comprehensive list of all available kits in the BID area.

Lamson Road Carriageway repairs – closures

As you may be aware the carriageway has subsided at two separate locations along Lamson Road;  please see below dates for two way traffic signals / closure

Our proposal is to repair the carriageway and footway in three separate phases whilst minimising the disruption caused;

Phase 1 – works to start on site Monday 20th August 2018 for a duration of five working days. We are planning to use two-way temporary traffic signals between the hours of 8am to 4pm and no diversion route is required.

Phase 2 – Works to start on site from Tuesday 28th August 2018 for a duration of 15 working days. Due to the location of the subsidence the safest method of working is to close the entry in to Lamson Road from the Bridge Road roundabout between the hours of 8am to 4pm daily. The partial closure will assist operative to carry out the essential repairs safely and cause the least disruption within the area.  I have attached a traffic management plan for information.

Phase 3 – Full night time road closure on 24th September 2018 for two nights for carriageway surfacing in both locations. Time of closure is still to be confirmed along with the traffic management plan. Further details to follow

If you do have any further questions or comments please don’t hesitate toc contact me on the details below.

Kind Regards
