Estate House Redevelopment / Expansion

We have now obtained full planning approval for the redevelopment/expansion of Estate House.

The redevelopment works have commenced and will continue for several months, with the existing building being demolished and replaced by a larger two storey office, which will provide facilities to better serve the needs of the estate going forward.

The estate management will be based in temporary accommodation close by for the duration of the development, prior to moving back into Estate House.

A further, more detailed article will be provided in the September 2019 newsletter

LATEST REPORT FROM RENEWI

The fly season is upon us, no new fly complaints have been received and the fly counts continue to be low although temperatures have increased and we are seeing warmer weather. Fly numbers have been low for the last few months and continue to remain so;  We will continue to monitor levels during the coming summer months. Renewi have implemented this year’s fly management plan to ensure fly numbers are kept to a minimum and results continue to prove positive, so far.

We will continue to keep you informed of progress with any projects on site, in the meantime if you would like to contact us, you can do so on 01708 634540, or by letter to the following address: Gurjeet Kaur Assi, Business Support Manager, Renewi Services UK, Frog Island, Creek Way, Rainham, RM13 8EN.

New CCTV cameras Installed to Maximise The Safety & Security of Fairview Industrial Estate

Further investment by the management of Fairview Industrial Estate, supported by the London Riverside Bid has allowed the installation of additional CCTV cameras.

A review of coverage of the Estate area indicated that the system would benefit from the addition of one CCTV camera and a realignment of a number of others.

This has resulted in an improvement in coverage which will lead to more effective site management,  still further enhance measures to improve the safety around the site and deter criminal behaviour.

The opportunity has also has been taken to confirm compliance for the use of CCTV on the Estate in relation to the Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR) with the additional benefit of new CCTV warning signage being installed.

Creek Way, Renewi depot, Swift Business Park, Fairview Industrial Park/South eastern estate perimeter – Security enhancements

Creek Way is the road that runs around and forms the eastern perimeter for the Fairview Industrial Park. This road has historically been vulnerable to attracting criminal activity to the area, security breaches onto the Fairview Industrial Park, as well as traveller incursions and fly tipping.

The front half of the road has been upgraded by the developers of the new Swift Business Park to include traffic calming measures/safety road markings, footpath creation, as well as their own CCTV installations.

At the half way point Renwei, the operators of the waste disposal plant, have installed fencing to prevent access beyond this point, with electric security gates, equipped with 2  ANPR CCTV’s.   As part of the project, Renewi have also installed new LED carriageway lighting and static CCTV along the entire length of Creek Way, along with warning signage, and their own traffic calming measures.

Financial contributions have been made towards the project, along with match funding from the London Riverside BID.
